I am currently a Sports Marketing Intern at Long Beach State Athletics. I work closely with many of our 19 teams that play in the NCAA Division 1 level such as the men’s and women’s volleyball, basketball and waterpolo teams, as well as the baseball and softball teams. In this position I design gameday graphics, handle in-game promotions, create content for our social media accounts, brainstorm ideas for new events and activities, and work with guests and staff to ensure all games are well ran and properly executed. Previously I ran my high school’s Instagram, Tiktok, and Twitter accounts as the Commissioner of Media and Publicity. Another duty I had was to recite the morning announcements every week on the intercom. In these positions I have learned a lot of valuable skills about communication, timeliness, digital design etc., that have all prepared me for a future in Sports Media.
